What is contract chipping?
Contract chipping is where we bring our specialist biomass chipping machinery to your site to process your timber or woody material into woodchip. It is particularly suitable for forestry, woodland management, site clearance and other projects generating large volumes of timber.
What contract chipping equipment do you use?
Our contract chipping setup includes a Valtra S416 tractor and Jenz HEM 593Z chipper, providing a high-capacity solution for commercial and forestry chipping operations.
What material can you chip?
We can process a range of suitable woody material including whole trees, roundwood, forestry timber, branches, brash and timber generated from site clearance and arboricultural operations.
We would assess the material and site requirements before undertaking the work.
Can you produce biomass woodchip?
Yes. Our contract chipping operation can be used to process suitable timber for biomass woodchip production. If you require a particular specification, please tell us the intended use when enquiring.
Can you produce G30 and G50 woodchip?
We can produce different chip sizes for biomass applications, including G30 and G50, subject to the material and project requirements.
Can you take the woodchip away after chipping?
Yes. We operate our own haulage equipment, including walking-floor trailers, so we can discuss transporting the resulting woodchip as part of the project.
Alternatively, we can chip directly into your own suitable trailers or vehicles.
Do you provide the timber?
For our contract chipping service, we process timber belonging to or managed by the customer.

Do you undertake one-off contract chipping jobs?
Yes. We can undertake one-off projects as well as regular or ongoing contract chipping work.
Where do you provide contract chipping?
We are based near Grantham in Lincolnshire and regularly work throughout Lincolnshire and the surrounding regions. We can travel further across the UK where the scale of the project makes this practical.
What information do you need to quote for contract chipping?
It helps if you can provide the site location, approximate quantity of timber, type and size of material, how it is stacked, site access, intended use of the woodchip and whether haulage is required.
Photographs of the timber and working area are also useful when initially assessing a project.
